FUNDRAISING
Dear Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers and Friends,
We hope this letter finds you and your family happy, healthy, and safe. The Pratt Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists to facilitate family engagement and raise funds to support educational efforts not covered by Minneapolis Public Schools.
After three school years impacted by covid, Pratt and the PTO are returning to more in-person events. We’ve enjoyed connecting with the Pratt community and seeing people in-person, instead of just on zoom. We are also returning to events and fundraising opportunities that have been on pause for the last couple years. While the PTO adjusts to hosting these events and running fundraisers in our broader community, direct donations are the best way to make sure our budget remains balanced to support our students and educators.
What does the Pratt PTO fund?
-
Enrichment activities for students: A broad range of experiences for students including STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), theater, music, and creative writing.
-
Supporting and recognizing our teachers: teacher appreciation events and supporting classroom needs that would otherwise be paid for by teachers out of their own pockets.
-
Community building events for students and families.
Please consider making a donation to support our children’s education. Pratt students do not sell goods to raise funds. Instead, the PTO asks for direct donations to maximize the dollars brought into the school. Our goal is $8,000 by December 31, 2022.
Please donate what you can to support Pratt students!
-
Write a check payable to Pratt PTO: 100% of your gift supports Pratt!

-
Employer match: If you work for a company that matches donations, please request that match, as the Pratt PTO holds 501(c)(3) charitable organization, tax-exempt status. (Tax number: 26-3583817)
We need your help. Please consider making as generous a contribution as you can and share this letter with relatives and friends who may also wish to contribute to Pratt’s success.
Thank you!
